At the Italian level, the olive sector is experiencing a slight decline in terms of area, witnessed by the decrease of 2.88% recorded in the period 2010-2021. This decrease has affected ten regions, more than half of the regions. Among themMolise, Basilicata and Tuscany are the ones that recorded the greatest negative variation. Umbria, a territory historically dedicated to the cultivation of this plant, recorded a negative change of 2% from 2010 to 2021.
